Japan

Almost time to head to Japan!!!!
Jocelyn and I will leave this Saturday for Japan.
We'll be coming back some time on Tuesday so we won't have much time (considering how big Japan is), but hopefully we'll be able to get around and see stuff a little.

We've had company from the states for a couple of weeks and it looks like it will be almost constant for the next few months.
It's always cool to watch peoples reactions to things in Taiwan. After being here for a year and a half you start to get used to things that used to be strange/unique/different/etc. But when people from the states come you get to see it all over again and realize how much you've changed in order to call it "normal".

God Bless,

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

OK, I know I'm a day late but........
New Year Day was a lot of fun. Gina and I went to Yuli church and then had Abi, 9 year old girl and a 13 year old girl over for lunch.
We had met the two girls the evening before and shot off some fireworks in front of our house and at the church with them. They don't speak hardly any English, but they weren't very scared of us either.
Following are some pictures from their time here (Abi took about 273 pictures. Don't worry I'll only show a few)

YEAH!!!!

The internet is back up and running.
We're finally having an actual vacation now!!!!! I don't have to teach kids for a whole 10 days!!!!!!
I will definitely be ready to get back to teaching after that though. After a while it gets kinda boring having to find something to do all the time instead of just having to play with kids most of the day ;)
Well, it's really late here and I've got to get up a little early in the morning so I'm going to go for now.

God Bless,
Jon-E

Almost over!!

Only one more day of camp and then we'll be heading back to Yuli.
We're supposed to take a bus down around the south tip of Taiwan and then back up to Hualien county.
It'll be quite the bus ride!!

I think I'm ready for our four day camp in Yuli that starts Monday (I think!!) ;)
I've been working for the last two days on trying to get as much ready and planned out for it as possible.
We'll be getting to Yuli sometime late Saturday night and then we only have Sunday to get everything together before camp on Monday. I think Sunday will be pretty crazy.
Oh, we'll have several people staying at our house also to top it all off.
The Leskowats brother and friend are coming and we'll have two Taiwanese friends staying until Monday or Tuesday as well. It'll be fun, but quite hectic.

It's going to be nice to get back to the house and a real bed and shower!!!!
Camps are always fun, but........ lets just say they're a nice break from the normal routine of life ;)

Well, that's all I have time for now.

Till Next Time,
Jon-E
